1. How it Works
How the Challenge Works
The Wolverhampton Cycle Challenge is a free, fun competition that encourages people to remember the joys of riding a bike. The aim of the Challenge is to get as many of your colleagues as possible to ride a bike for just 10 minutes over the three week Challenge period, from Monday 7 September to Sunday 27 September 2009.People can ride wherever they feel comfortable and at anytime over the Challenge. It’s not just about cycling to work or cycling the most miles. It's all about getting more people to experience and remember how fun and easy cycling can be.
It’s easy to take part and there will be lots of activites to help get more people cycling - from Dr Bike maintenance sessions to cycle skills training. Just register here, email your colleagues and let the fun begin! There are lots of prizes that you and your colleagues could win just by taking part! Find out about prizes here.
It's easy to take part!
- Register on the website
- Ride a bike at least once between the Challenge period*
- Log your cycling on the Challenge website
- Encourage your colleagues to have fun riding a bike too!
* You can ride wherever you feel comfortable, whenever you like during the Challenge, for at least 10 minutes.
* Using motorcycles, scooters, static bikes or excercise bikes does not count as riding a bike. People will need to ride an actual bicycle for their participation to count.
